Exercise Description and Instruction:

This Weight Training Exercise is a great variation of Triceps Extensions done while lying on a bench. It is similar to Skull Crushers but you’ll be pressing from behind your head rather than above your forehead.

To Perform This Exercise:

  1. Lie flat on a bench with your head at one end.
  2. Grasp the bar with a grip about 8 inches apart and lower the bar behind your head.
  3. Bend your arms down in an arc so the bar moves in a direction under your head.
  4. Slowly return to starting position by pressing upwards with your triceps and extending your arms.

Tips:

  1. Keep your elbows in a fixed position throughout the exercise.
  2. Focus on moving the weight with your triceps in a controlled motion
