So Why should you Focus on Your Lats in your Workout Routines?
These back exercises target the largest and most powerful back muscles, the latissimus dorsi. In fact the name of this muscle is derived from Latin and literally means, “broadest muscle of the back.” So, obviously, your lats are an important muscle.
Because the lats are so significant, these back strengthening exercises will help you improve your maxes on most other upper body exercises. They’re also essential in Fat Loss Workouts because training the large muscle group burns more calories than isolating your biceps or triceps, for example.
